Okay, I am not one to promote “products” BUT there is one item that I will share with you that will help you with your dilemma and save you tons of money. I have used it for 2 years and I spend about $12.00 per year on blades.
The reasons why blades do not last very long is that the water left on the blade after shaving or moisture from others that shower in the same bathroom creates oxidation/rust, which is the biggest culprit of dulling a blade.
I have two solutions for you that will save you a lot of money, and make shaving a pleasure every time you shave! The first option is free, provided you own a pair of jeans.
After each shave, take one leg of a pair of jeans and go up in one direction for abut 10-20 strokes and back down in one direction for about 10-20 strokes. Click on the picture with the guy shaving and watch a video example.
The other option is what I use is called “Save A Blade”. I purchased it at Walgreens for about $20.00 but you can get it on Amazon.com for about $7.00. This can be the best investment you make in building your professional image.
