Summer is not over by a long shot but August is around the corner and retailers are going to soon be releasing Fall 2012 clothes. So I wanted to give you a start-jump on preparing your wardrobe to bring in the fashion colors of Fall to keep an updated, fresh, image.
As I was writing this blog, my nephew, shown in the picture, came out ready to go fishing wearing the fashion color of the year, tangerine tango (Pantone). I had to take his picture because I thought it was too funny. He was not only wearing the fashion color of the year, but wearing it fishing? He is such the fashion plate. I can’t wait to see what his girlfriend comes out wearing. If it’s tangerine tango, I will add it to the post!
The key is to coordinate the Fall 2012 colors with your Elemental Wardrobe Color Palette (earth, fire, air, water). Here a few hints to make the process simple.
Fall 2012 Color according to Pantone:
French Roast/Bright Chartreuse
Honey Gold/Olympian Blue
Ultramarine Green/Rose Smoke
1. If you are warm (fire/earth) you can incorporate the following colors.
a. French Roast
b. Honey Gold
c. Tangerine Tango
d. Ultramarine Green
e. Bright Chartreuse
2. If you are cool (air/water) you can incorporate the following colors.
a. Pink Flambé
b. Olympian Blue
e. Rose Smoke
You can also mix any of the colors that are not from your Wardrobe Color Palette. The key is not to wear it as a solid, unless it is below the waist. If you wear it around the face, use that color in smaller amounts.
For those I have worked with, remember me telling you that you can wear any color, you just have to know how to wear it? The rule-of-thumb…if you wear a color that is not from your palette, mix it with another color that is from your palette, making “your” color the primary color showing.
